HOTEL INFINITO is the new project by Missing Ear, Italian experimental drummer and sound designer based in Milan whose practice investigates listening as an embodied, spatial mode of perception. The new release continues his exploration of active listening as a sensorial and social act, confronting sonic overstimulation not as background noise but as a defining condition of contemporary life.
Conceived in collaboration with Berlin-based visual artist Alessandra Leone Hotel Infinito unfolds as both perceptual experience and speculative meditation. Drawing from Hilbert's paradox of the infinite hotel, the work approaches composition as an open-ended, proliferating process, the drum kit becoming instrument and terrain simultaneously, a physical system through which an inexhaustible spectrum of sonic possibilities is continually revealed.
References to post-club structures, deconstructed rhythmic architectures and leftfield IDM and break-core are evident throughout, filtered through a deeply personal sensibility and translated into layered, spatially articulated environments where sound and image coalesce into a single perceptual continuum. Leone's visual contribution operates not as illustration but as conceptual amplifier, navigating the tensions between corporeality, technological mediation, and spatial presence.
This is not only a release for a playlist but it is a place you inhabit. credits releases April 2, 2026
Missing Ear × Alessandra Leone. Drawing from Hilbert's paradox of the infinite hotel, it treats the drum kit as an open terrain — a physical system generating inexhaustible sonic possibility. Deconstructed rhythms, post-club fractures, and spatial sound meet image into a single perceptual continuum.
